Sunday Night Football: Giants VS 49ers (Prediction)

The Sunday Night Football game this week for the NFL features two teams that have to be more consistant. Those two teams would be the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. However, one of these teams look a lot better than the other.

The 49ers have been having a lot of questions surrounding their quarterback Colin Kaepernick. These past few weeks, Kaepernick has looked horrible. He used to be one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league. Now it looks like he does not even know how to play the game. He has overthrown guys, underthrown guys, and his timing just looks off.  At least he is still a great athlete and very fast. The 49ers are looking to get their first win since Week 1. This is not the start to a season the 49ers were looking for after getting a new head coach. Also it seems like the 49ers just have bad luck. Most of their great players of the last decade have retired in the past few years.

The Giants have not looked nearly as bad as the 49ers have. They have a few wins under their belt and they honestly could be undefeated. Last week the Giants impressed me traveling to Buffalo and beating a very tough Bills team. The Giants running game has started to look a lot better. It will be interesting to see how the Madden 16 cover boy, Odell Beckham Jr plays in this game. There are also many play makers on the Giants defense.

The Giants are the home team in this game. They are also the better team. That is why I am taking the Giants to beat the 49ers. This will put the Giants on top of the division for the time being.

28-14 Giants

Thursday Night Football: Colts VS Texans (Prediction)

Thursday Night Football this week in the NFL will feature the Indianapolis Colts traveling to Houston to take on the division rival Texans. The Colts are on a two game win streak, while the Texans are 1-3 so far this season.

When I look at this game, I realize that both of these teams are not very good. At least so far this season they are not very good. I thought that the Colts at the beginning of this season would be a Superbowl contender. Their only two wins this season are against mediocre teams, and they were lucky to win these games as well. Rumors are floating around that the Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will not be able to play tonight due to injury. This hurts the Colts tremendously because Andrew Luck is their best player. However, last week Matt Hasselbeck didn't look bad when he stepped in for Andrew Luck.

The Texans on the other hand, look just mediocre. A key matchup to watch for in this game is how the offensive line of the Colts will be able to manage arguably the best player in the NFL, JJ Watt. The Texans quarterback situation is pretty bad considering both quarterbacks they have played with look bad. I feel like most of these matchups favor the Colts, so I will pick them to win this game in a close one. I think that all around, the Colts are just the better team. With or without Andrew Luck.

Final Score: 24-21 Colts

The Hawkeyes Beat Wisconsin!

So I am a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan. So I just had to talk about this. Iowa ended up beating Wisconsin yesterday after many people though they would lose. The game was pretty ugly when you think about it. It was an amazing day to be a Iowa fan. I think this will elevate Iowa to be a ranked team. This makes me question how many losses the Hawkeyes are even going to have this season. Northwestern might be the Hawkeyes only loss this season. However it is very possible that Iowa beats them.  All I know for sure is that I am not disappointed being a Hawkeyes fan, like I am being a fan of the Dolphins. Hopefully Iowa will manage to keep this up for the whole season.

NFC Playoff Predictions

After being halfway through week 4 of the NFL regular season, I decided to finally make my NFC playoff predictions. I did this because they are harder picks to make then the AFC. There are many more competitors in the NFC than the AFC. All of the divisions in the NFC seem like they are stronger.

NFC East Winner: Dallas Cowboys

I have discussed this many times before, but I will say it one more time. I still believe that the Cowboys will make the playoffs even with Tony Romo and Dez Bryant being out most of the season. The rest of the division has not looked good. All of the other teams look like they are inconsistent. That is why I am sticking with the Cowboys.

NFC North Winner: Green Bay Packers

This is a very easy pick. The Green Bay Packers look like they are the best team in the NFC. This team has looked impressive all around. It also helps that they have the best quarterback in the league Aaron Rodgers.  It will be interesting to see how many losses the Packers will end up having. The only other team in this division that looks somewhat good is the Vikings. The Vikings have no chance at taking the division from the Packers as long as Aaron Rodgers does not get injured.

NFC West Winner: Seattle Seahawks

This was a really tough decision for me. Early on this year, I was beginning to think that the Seahawks were not going to be as good this season. They looked like a completely different team when they got Chancellor back. That makes me think they have the edge over the Cardinals in the NFC West.

NFC South Winner: Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons were a team that I was not expecting much from coming into this season. However, They have looked great this season. Julio Jones is the best receiver in the league. I am very impressed by the Atlanta Falcons and they are undefeated this season. I think they look better than the Panthers who are undefeated division rival.

Wildcard #1: Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have looked incredible this season. The only reason why I have the Seahawks taking the division is because the Cardinals lost to the Rams which makes me question how good they actually are. However, they are still going to get a ton of wins and make the playoffs. Bruce Arians is an incredible coach to be able to build a team like this.

Wildcard #2: Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are probably the weakest team that is still undefeated. However, Cam Newton has been very impressive so far this season. Their defense is also looking very good. The other team who I was thinking of putting in this spot is the Minnesota Vikings. I definitely think that the Panthers are a better team then the Vikings as of right now. That is why the Panthers are here.

Looking at the NFC, the playoffs should be very entertaining to watch. There are so many teams that look very good.

Monday Night Football: Seahawks vs Lions (Predictions)

Monday Night Football will showcase a game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions. This game will be taking place in Seattle with the 12th man. The Seahawks just came off of win where they dominated the Chicago Bears. The Lions are yet to get a win this season.

The Seahawks were not looking that good in the first two games. That changed in their third game when Kam Chancellor came back to the squad.  Against the Bears, they looked just like the team from their last two successful seasons. News just broke out that Marshawn Lynch will not be playing in this game. That hurts because he is their big powerhouse on offense.

The Lions are looking like an incomplete team. It seems like the Lions are having a hard time with the competition. That is why I am taking the Seahawks in this game.

Final Score (Prediction): 30-10 Seahawks

Sunday Night Football: Cowboys vs Saints (Prediction)

It's Sunday, so that means football. Sunday night features the Dallas Cowboys traveling to New Orleans to play the Saints inside the dome. This will be an interesting game due to the injuries that the Cowboys have on both sides of the ball.

When I look at the Saints, I see a team full of a bunch of guys who aren't that good besides Drew Brees. Brees is going to be playing this game coming off of a shoulder injury that kept him from playing last week. Luke Mccown looked impressive when he stepped in for Drew Brees. This team is just not that good of a football team anymore though. They are trying to rebuild what was once a great team.

I have already discussed the injuries that the Cowboys have suffered. Most of their star players are hurt. They lost to the Falcons after completely falling apart in the second half. What this team is centered around is the offensive line. Even though they had injuries, they were still somewhat good against the Falcons. I do think that the Cowboys will win this game just because the Saints just are not that good. Besides Drew Brees, they have no play makers.

Final Score (Prediction) 27-17 Cowboys

Thursday Night Football: Steelers VS Ravens (Prediction)

Tonight is Thursday Night Football for the NFL. This game that kicks off Week 4 will be between the Steelers and the Ravens in Pittsburgh. Both of these teams have gotten themselves in tricky situations this season. The Ravens will look to break their losing streak since the start of the season, while the Steelers are without their great starting quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger.

Lets start off with the Ravens. The Ravens are a pretty good football team that is unfortunately 0-3. The amazing thing is, is that they could have won any of the games that they lost. Injuries on this team's defense is the huge blow to this team. I feel like if the Ravens lose this game, they will be unable to make the playoffs.

As for the Steelers, I have already discussed the issue at quarterback. Out of the next four games that the Steelers play without Ben Roethlisberger, I think they will lose two. I definitely think the Steelers are going to lose this game though. Even though their defense is starting to look better and their offense is still great, I feel like the Ravens are going to be on a mission to get their first win. I think that the Ravens are too good of a football team to go 0-4.

Final Score Prediction: 34-28 Ravens
