Thursday Night Football: Seahawks VS 49ers (Prediction)

This Thursday night game will be very interesting due to where these teams stand. The Seahawks have been one of the best teams over the past couple of years. However, this season they have been on a decline. The 49ers have been looking a lot better than what they did in the first couple of games. Also, the Seahawks and 49ers are division rivals which means this game will matter even more to both of these teams.

The 49ers are hosting this game in their somewhat new stadium. Many people questioned how good the 49ers would be because of their new coach, and many of their players retiring. Starting out, they did not look good at all. There were questions surrounding quarterback Collin Kaepernick. The past couple of games the 49ers have looked a lot better. Even Kaepernick is starting to improve his game too.

The Seahawks have just been very confusing this season. First off, they started the season without their star safety, Kam Chancellor. I thought the only reason they were playing bad was because they didn't have him. Once they got him back, they started to win. Then they have miscommunication issues against both the Bengals, and the Panthers. This season they have given up many fourth quarter leads. I still believe that the Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFL. Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson will need to have good games in order for the Seahawks to win. Also, Richard Sherman has lost his intensity. The Legion of Boom will need better coordination in this game. I still believe that the Seahawks are the better team, so I am picking them to beat the 49ers.

24-23 Seahawks

Dolphins Blowout Titans in Dan Campbell's Debut!

Today was a good day to be a Dolphins fan. The Dolphins interim head coach Dan Campbell made his debut against the Titans today. To my surprise, the Dolphins won 38-10 in a dominate victory. I am extremely excited because it seemed like everybody played to their potential. Now the Dolphins are 2-3 coming off of their long bye week.

The Dolphins offense looked good from the start this week. Jarvis Landry had a good day, especially with the rushing touchdown on a genius play call. Jarvis Landry always plays good for the Dolphins so that is no surprise. I think that Landry will be a pro bowl wide receiver in his future. On of the things the new coach wanted to establish is a running game. They finally started giving running back Lamar Miller the ball, and he did not disappoint. He had nearly 100 yards and a touchdown in the first half. Lamar Miller might be able to have a good season just like he did last year. Rishard Mathews had a good game as well. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked pretty well too. He did have two interceptions, but one of them was no his fault. Jordan Cameron was the reason for on of these interceptions, but he made up for it with a late touchdown.

The defense looked spectacular in this game. I am going to start with the defensive line. The defensive looked like what they should have in the beginning of the season. The Dolphins had five sacks in just the first half of the game. One of those was from Vernon, who also might get fined because of a cheap hit he got on Titans rookie quarterback, Marcus Mariota. The other four sacks were from my favorite Dolphin's player, Cameron Wake. I was beginning to think that Cameron Wake was going to go for the single game sack record since he had four sacks and two forced fumbles in the first half. Suh did not do much, but he was double teamed for most of the game. I think Suh will do more the longer the season will goes on. Reshad Jones proved why he is a top 5 safety in the league with a nice pick 6. Corner back Brent Grimes has been off to a slow start to the season. However, Grimes managed to get an interception which made me feel relieved about him.

Hopefully the Dolphins will continue to play good under the new coach. So far, I am excited to see what the Dolphins are capable of with Dan Campbell at head coach.

Monday Night Football: Giants VS Eagles (Prediction)

Monday Night Football will be where it is at to watch NFC East division rivals square off. The surprisingly impressive New York Giants will be traveling down to Philadelphia to take on the rival Eagles. The winner of this game will have a lot of momentum to take this division. Both of these teams haven't looked bad these past few weeks. I believe that this game will be very close.

The Eagles look like they are all starting to get on the same page. Sam Bradford has played pretty well after a really rough start. They are also managing to utilize their cache of running backs way more. I am expecting Demarco Murray to have a good game against the Eagles. Their defense also hasn't looked bad. I think the Eagles will be playing harder than they have the whole season because they are at home and against the top team in their division.

The Giants look like they are trying to capitalize on the opening in the NFC East. This of course is due to the injuries that the Dallas Cowboys have faced. Eli Manning is playing like a completely different quarterback than he has the past few seasons. He has been limiting the turnovers which has helped the Giants out tremendously. I expect Eli Manning to continue to play well. I believe that the Giants will be able to pull this game out in a close game.

24-21 Giants

Sunday Night Football: Colts VS Patriots (Prediction)

The time has come. The rematch of the AFC Championship game between the Patriots and Colts are here. The main reason this game is being hyped up so much is because these were the two teams playing in the Deflategate game. Many people are expecting Tom Brady to go off this game becuase he wants revenge.

The Colts have managed to bring their season back from a 0-2 start. They have looked pretty impressive the past few weeks. Now, the Colts will be getting back their pro bowl quarterback, Andrew Luck.  When Andrew Luck has been the quarterback for the Colts this season, the Colts are 1-2. I am expecting the Andrew Luck to play better than he has in his other starts. Andre Johnson managed to step it up last week when the Colts won. The Colts need to utilize Andre Johnson to help manage the game. Also, Frank Gore will hopefully play good for the Colts to manage the clock.

The Patriots are one of the best teams in the NFL. I have seen analysts predict the patriots to drop 60 points on the Colts. Brady's dad also is wanting them to score 60 points. Most people are saying the the Patriots are going to blowout the Colts. However, I do not think it will be as bad as most people are thinking. The Patriots offense is one of the best in the league. Rob Gronkowski will probably have a very big game. I also think that Julian Edleman  will have a good game. He is a great wide receiver that managed to fall in the hands of the Patriots. There is no question in my mind that the Patriots are winning this game. I am just not with the people who thinks it will be one of the biggest blowouts in football history.

38-21 Patriots

Thursday Night Football: Falcons VS Saints (Prediction)

Tomorrow night, Thursday Night Football will showcase a game between division rivals. Those division rivals would be the New Orleans Saints, and the undefeated Atlanta Falcons. This game is going to be taking place in the dome down in New Orleans.

I sometimes favor teams with home field advantage in games. The Saints used to be unstoppable in their stadium, but now not so much. Besides their win a few weeks ago against the Cowboys, they have been struggling while playing teams in their own stadium. The Saints also only have one win this season. I still have that philosophy that I had a couple weeks ago when I said that the Saints only have a few good players. Drew Brees is great, and he has a couple solid receivers. My only problem with the Saints is that they are not a complete team. They just are not simply the same team as they once were.

The Falcons on the other hand, look like they are incredible. Julio Jones is easily the best wide receiver in the NFL. They have looked like a team that will never give up. Their running game the past few weeks has looked unstoppable. They also have shown signs that their defense is good too. What the new coach in the Falcons organization has managed to do in his first year is absolutely incredible. I do think that the Falcons will lose and no longer remain undefeated, but it will not be this game that they end up losing.

Final Score (Prediction): 28-17 Falcons

Monday Night Football: Steelers VS Chargers

The Monday Night Football game for this week will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers traveling to San Diego to take on the Chargers. Both of these teams are coming in with a record of 2-2. This will be quite an interesting game because both of these teams rally want to get that third win in hopes of making the playoffs.

When Big Ben originally went down with an injury, I though the Steelers would be able to survive with Michael Vick. I am starting to lose that belief though. Ever since that injury occurred, the Steelers have played super conservative. They still have a great team, but the play calling for the Steelers have not been good. Last week it seemed like they would randomly isolate the ball from certain players. The fact that late in the game Le'veon Bell did not get the ball, just proves how bad the play calling for the Steelers has been. Hopefully for the Steelers can turn it around before Ben Roethlisberger gets back because it looks like the Bengals are pulling away.

The Chargers are a team that is very solid. Nobody has really been talking about the Chargers, but I could definitely see them making the playoffs. Keenen Allen is a great receiver and I would not be surprised if he has a good game. They also have one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the NFL in Phillip Rivers. Phillip Rivers is easily a top quarterback in the league. The Chargers are also the home team. Home field advantage is something that I am a huge believer in.

Overall, I feel like without Big Ben the Steelers are not going to be able to handle the Chargers. The Chargers are a better team than the Steelers when their is no Big Ben. I do think that this will be a close game though.

28-20 Chargers

Joe Philbin Fired, Dan Campbell Interim Head Coach

A couple of days ago, Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin was fired for obvious reasons. The Dolphins were looking weak, and it seemed as if they didn't even want to play football. This was one of the best times for him to be fired since the Dolphins were going on their bye week. This also came after another beat down given to them from the Jets in London. He also deserved to be fired due to all the fans hating both him, and what the team had become. There was high expectations for the Dolphins this year, and they somehow managed to be worse than what they were last year by a lot. Now, tight end coach Dan Campbell, will be stepping in for the head coaching job until the Dolphins find a new coach.

Dan Campbell has looked so far for the Dolphins, as a nice change of pace. He came out stating that the team needs to be a lot tougher. This is definitely true since the Dolphins cannot seem to tackle and get in the backfield. Campbell has been running new drills in practice to even help them tackle better. I trust Campbell can get these guys to be more physical due to him being a former player himself. He also looks like a guy who could play football now if he really tried. Luckily for the Dolphins, they have some time to work on the team with a new coach.

News also came out that the Dolphins fired their defensive coordinator. This needed to happen too, because a once great defense has started to look like they should be playing flag football. The Dolphins will have to find a way to manage these problems because they are last in the AFC East. The Dolphins have a shot at bringing their season back to life, but it will be a tough task. All I know for sure is though, is that these firings were ultimately a step in the right direction for my favorite team, the Miami Dolphins.
