Two almost evenly matched teams will be squaring off on Thursday Night Football. In Jacksonville, the Jaguars will be taking on the Titans. Even though these two teams aren't the best, they are still in contention for a playoff spot due to the AFC South being absolutely terrible. This game right here could possibly have huge playoff implications in the AFC South.
I'll start off with the home team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. For the last few years, the Jaguars have been the laughing stock of the NFL. Even though they are not great, they have managed to improve quite a bit. They have finally managed to find what looks like a franchise quarterback in Blake Bortles. The Jaguars defense has also been doing solid as well. I personally believe in the next few years, the Jaguars will be one of the better teams. On both sides of the ball, the Jaguars have improved. In order to beat the Titans at home, the Jaguars will need to showcase those improvements that I just discussed.
The Titans offense with Marcus Mariota has shown flashes of good things. Mariota has managed to have a few games where he threw for four touchdowns with zero interceptions. It will be interesting to see how Mariota performs against an up and coming defense. Also with a new coach, the Titans have looked somewhat better. It will be interesting to see how the Titans are able to perform on the road. However, I believe that the Jaguars are better than the Titans by just a little bit. They are also the home team which gives an advantage to the Jaguars.
27-24 Jaguars
