The 2015 NFL season featured some great quarterback play from a lot of teams. It also featured some downright awful quarterback play by a select few. However, this will be focusing on the good of the league.
1.Cam Newton
The number one quarterback of this season is hands down Cam Newton. Cam Newton managed to score 45 total touchdowns which led the league. He has also rushed for more than 500 yards which is phenomenal for a quarterback to be able to do. This Carolina Panthers team was not expected to be that good this year, but Cam Newton made them become the best team in the NFL. This is why Cam Newton is the number one quarterback on this list and will mostly likely win the MVP award.
2. Carson Palmer
Carson Palmer had a fantastic year. Quarterback rating was the stat that Carson Palmer dominated in. He also played well in nearly all the games that the Cardinals played this season. Most thought that Carson Palmer would not be that good this year, but based off of how he did last year before he ended up getting injured, I'm not surprised.
3. Tom Brady
I am a Dolphins fan so I cannot stand Tom Brady. That being said, there is no denying the incredible start to the season he had. If it wasn't for the injuries to the Patriots, Tom Brady could have easily been at the top of this list. He also didn't throw an interception until many games into the season. That first interception that he threw wasn't even his fault either. Sadly for me, the Patriots will probably still be on top of the AFC East for even more years to come.
4. Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson is easily one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL. He gets a lot of criticism due to his team. However, when the team as a whole started to plunge, Russell Wilson stepped up and became the best quarterback of the last half of the season. He also established that he can be a great pocket passer, which many believed he was not capable of becoming,
5. Ben Roethlesberger
Ben Roethlesberger was the quarterback behind the circus offense that was the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. The amount of weapons on that offense was stunning. I believe the Steelers would be in the Superbowl if it wasn't for Antonio Brown getting concussed against the Bengals. That being said, when you put up the crazy numbers that Ben managed to do with that offense, you have a recipe for success. Ben also has one of the best deep balls in the league.
