Dolphins Trying to Restructure Ndamukong Suh's Contract

If you haven't heard, the Dolphins are trying to restructure one of the best defensive tackles in the league, Ndamukong Suh's contract. This is something that I am not surprised about because of how much they payed him.

The Dolphins made Suh the highest payed defensive player ever, when they signed him to a 114 million dollar contract. Now the Dolphins are in cap trouble and they need to sign some key players. The Dolphins two star defensive ends could be on their way out, and also running back Lamar Miller. All of these players are more important to this team than Suh is.

I believe that the Dolphins will not be able to complete this because Suh will not want to take a pay cut. If Suh does take a pay cut then  the Dolphins will be able to get some of teir big playmakers back next year.

Top 5 Wide Receivers of 2015 NFL Season

2015 was an excellent year for wide receivers in the NFL. Unless you are talking about the Packers. This is my list of the best wide receivers of the 2015 season.

1. Antonio Brown
Antonio Brown was easily the best receiver of the year. He lead the league with receiving yards for the year and he did not have his quarterback for many games.  He also managed to break records this season which is incredible. I am guessing next year will be an even better year for him.

2. Julio Jones
If I were a coach in the NFL, Julio Jones would be the type of receiver that I would want. He is the type of player where the ball can just be thrown up to him at almost anytime, and he will probably come down with the catch. He is also the reason the Carolina Panthers are not undefeated right now.

3. DeAndre Hopkins
DeAndre Hopkins had an incredible year, especially considering the team he was playing for. There were a huge selection of different quarterbacks who played for the Texans this year. All of those quarterbacks were horrible.  Some of the touchdown catches I saw Hopkins make were incredible.

4. Odell Beckham Jr.
Odell had another great year after his incredible rookie year. He is one of the hardest receivers to stop and he proved it this year. Those ridiculous one-handed catches are only part of what makes Odell Beckham special. His speed and route-running is also great. After two years in the NFL he is already near the top.

5. Allen Robinson
Not many people realized how good Allen Robinson was this year. The only  reason nobody talks about him is because he plays for the Jaguars. He had a great season and he deserves to get credit for it. He is a really good deep threat and he can just do it all.

Top 5 NFL Quarterbacks of the 2015 Season

The 2015 NFL season featured some great quarterback play from a lot of teams. It also featured some downright awful quarterback play by a select few. However, this will be focusing on the good of the league.

1.Cam Newton
The number one quarterback of this season is hands down Cam Newton. Cam Newton managed to score 45 total touchdowns which led the league. He has also rushed for more than 500 yards which is phenomenal for a quarterback to be able to do. This Carolina Panthers team was not expected to be that good this year, but Cam Newton made them become the best team in the NFL. This is why Cam Newton is the number one quarterback on this list and will mostly likely win the MVP award.

2. Carson Palmer
Carson Palmer had a fantastic year. Quarterback rating was the stat that Carson Palmer dominated in. He also played well in nearly all the games that the Cardinals played this season. Most thought that Carson Palmer would not be that good this year, but based off of how he did last year before he ended up getting injured, I'm not surprised.

3. Tom Brady
I am a Dolphins fan so I cannot stand Tom Brady. That being said, there is no denying the incredible start to the season he had. If it wasn't for the injuries to the Patriots, Tom Brady could have easily been at the top of this list. He also didn't throw an interception until many games into the season. That first interception that he threw wasn't even his fault either. Sadly for me, the Patriots will probably still be on top of the AFC East for even more years to come.

4. Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson is easily one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL. He gets a lot of criticism due to his team. However, when the team as a whole started to plunge, Russell Wilson stepped up and became the best quarterback of the last half of the season. He also established that he can be a great pocket passer, which many believed he was not capable of becoming,

5. Ben Roethlesberger
Ben Roethlesberger was the quarterback behind the circus offense that was the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. The amount of weapons on that offense was stunning. I believe the Steelers would be in the Superbowl if it wasn't for Antonio Brown getting concussed against the Bengals. That being said, when you put up the crazy numbers that Ben managed to do with that offense, you have a recipe for success. Ben also has one of the best deep balls in the league.

Adam Gase as the Dolphins New Head Coach

This hire by my Dolphins has me somewhat confused of what I should expect from them. The Dolphins hired Adam Gase, the former offensive coordinator from the Chicago Bears. At first I was very upset with the Dolphins because this will be another first time vhead coach.  Then I relized how Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler  improved with Gase.

Not only did Jay Cutler improve under Gase, but he was a part of the Broncos historic offense a few seasons ago. Adam Gase was the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos the year Peyton Manning broke the single season touchdown record. Both Peyton Manning and John Elway spoke very highly of Adam Gase.

Hopefully with this hire, improvement comes.

NFC Championship: Panthers VS Cardinals (Prediction)

The time has finally come for the two best teams in the NFC to face off. The Carolina Panthers will be at home to take on the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game. This will be a very hard fought game that will come down to the wire.

Starting with the home team, the Panthers are just simply the best team in the NFL this season. Their offense has been incredible for the whole year. Cam Newton has been the best quarterback this year as well. Cam Newton can beat teams both passing the football, and running the football. Cam Newton will be a huge factor in this game. Im also expecting Greg Olsen to be able to make an impact since he has proven to be a elite tight en in this league. The wide receievers will need to step up for the Panthers. Funchess and Ted Ginn Jr. will need to perform well against a elite secondary in order for the Panthers to win. Im also expecting Jonathan Stewart to be able to run the football well after that amazing performance he had last week against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Panthers defense has also proven to be really good as well. Im expecting big play from the Panthers linebacking core. Former Defensive Player of Year Luke Kuechly has hd a solid year and he had a good game last week. The Panthers also have Josh Norman who has proven to be a really good corner. I am thinking the defense for the Panthers will be able to play solid but not anything great.

The Cardinals offense will be interesting in this game after their performance last week. Carson Palmer played conservitave in his first playoff victory. If he comes out playing conservative like he did last week, then I give the Cardinals no shot of winning this game. Another thing to watch for is Larry Fitzgerald.  Larry Fitzgerald has proven that he can play great at a high age. I believe this will be the game where David Johnson steps up and proves he can be clutch.

The Cardinals defense worries me just a little bit. They are good almost everywhere on the defense. They are capable of stopping the run. The big problem with the Cardinals defense is their leader Tyrann Mathieu will not be playing in this game. The Packers offense which has been mediocre looked pretty good against the cardinals last week.

I personally believe that this will be the game where missing Tyrann Mathieu will come back and haunt the Cardinals. It will be a close, fairly high scoring game in my opinion.

31-27 Panthers

AFC Championship: Broncos VS Patriots (Prediction)

Championship Sunday is approaching, which means that the two best teams in each conference are playing for a chance to head to the Superbowl. On the AFC side, the New England Patriots will be traveling to play the Denver Broncos. This game is very intriguing because nobody knows exactly how the outcome will be.

Starting with the home team, they will be having Peyton Manning as their starting quarterback. Many people have questioned how good Peyton Manning can be with both his foot injury, and his old age. When I watched him play against the Steelers last week, he looked pretty solid, especially considering the circumstances. His arm didn't look bad and he didn't turn the ball over. However, they were playing against a Steelers secondary that was ranked really poorly this year.  I do believe that Peyton Manning shouldn't be the biggest concern for the Broncos in this game. The biggest concern for the Broncos should be the receivers dropping passes. The Broncos could have made the game against the Steelers easy if they didn't have so many drops. All the receivers for the Broncos will need to step up in order to keep pace with the Patriots. The running game has slowly become one of the most important parts of the Broncos offense. Peyton Manning being able to spot out weaknesses of the defense should make Hillman and Anderson do better at running the football.

The biggest strength of the Denver Broncos is easily their defense. In my opinion, the Broncos defense is the best in the league. The last time these teams played, the Patriots were still able to make some noise on the offensive side of the ball. This is because the strength of the Broncos defense is being able to rush the passer. No matter how good of a pass rushing team they are, they will still have a hard time getting to Tom Brady due to how quick he gets rid of the ball. Luckily for them, they have probably the best secondary in the NFL. T.J Ward, Aquib Talib, and Chris Harris Jr. should be able to be fine if Von Miller and Demarcus Ware are unable to get to Tom Brady.

I thought the Patriots were done after how I saw them play to end the regular season. However, Rob Gronkowski and Julien Edlemen managed to get healthy in time for the playoffs. That allowed the Patriots to beat the Chiefs without to many issues. With these two playing well, the Patriots offense will be able to put up a good amount of points no matter how good the Broncos defense is. This is also helped with the fact that quarterback Tom Brady gets rid of the ball so quickly. The offensive line of the Patriots is still banged up. However, they seem to play well no matter how bad the injuries plague that line. The biggest concern for the Patriots is the fact that they can not run the football at all. The Patriots are at the point where they are one dimensional, which is not good going up against the best defense in pro football.

The Patriots defense seems to play good enough to win no matter who leaves them. I thought this unit would be horrible with the departure of Revis and Wilfork. They still manage to play good though. They are also going up against a offense that is not that great. With players like Jamie Collins, the Patriots should be fine on defense.

Looking at these two teams, it only feels right to go with the Patriots because they are so much more reliable compared to the Broncos. I feel like it will be close but in the end I think the Patriots will win. I do want the Broncos to win because I do not like the Patriots.

27-24 Patriots
